Make sure you resize the 9mm, prior to loading, bulleting and crimping. 9mm case is tapered, not straight. .40 S&W has to be taper crimped. Remember, it is a high pressure cartridge, unlike .45. Do not roll crimp any cartridge that headspaces off the mouth (look in the chamber, you'll see the ledge the case mouth spaces off).
