Crimson is quality, veridian is ok too though. This is from what I have gleaned from the net. Green is the way to go for outdoors/long distances. You'll find the green variation only comes in larger forms due to higher power consumption requiring large batteries. I've got a Sig cpl low profile rail laser in red. I use it as a training aid, it helps during dry fire practice(and newby flinchers).
P.S. in case your interested Alflahertys had them in stock about a month ago, I can almost hear it calling you.
