Crispi boots

After 15 years in my Kenetreks, I needed a new pair of boots.
My Kenetreks required a lot of stretching to fit my wide foot, and once broke in performed very well for all these years.
I bought the new Corrie 3.2 hiker in wide, and found that they just didn't fit right, and the different top cut into the back of my calves.

So I went looking. I almost bought the Crispi Summit GTX II.
I ended up with the Scarpa Kinesis Pro GTX. So far they are the most comfortable boot I have tried on out of the box. Will see how they really perform once I start hiking in rough and steep terrain.

Scarpas are great boots but if you have wide feet I'm guessing you got the wide ones.

I destroy boots quickly due to the nature of my work. I got kailashes this season, which I went for the kinesis because the toe caps are coming off after 4 months in fairly open forest. Had the same issue with the old Romanian ones. Next pair will be kinesis pros

I like them because I have skinny feet

Well I went to my local Mark's and no stock. In fact she had never heard of them.
She looked & apparently no Mark's in Canada has them in stock. But she did figure I could order them online. So I'll probably head back with my wife's c/c and order 2 pair as I stated above. But I gotta tell ya the Scarpa Kinesis Pro GTX sound mighty interesting.

Update.

i bought Salomon Quest 4 GTX model boots.................... half the price of Crispis..... reviews are good.... time will tell on the longevity........ i have doubts about a goretex boot.

made a short video on em

they re great but not wider as crispi and cannot handle too much of abrasive rocks.

I did ont go look in person, but when I go online it shows that our marks has some in stock!! I’ll go have a look tomorrow

yeah fair call on the rocky stuff up high altitutde etc---- ive got them for the more forest type stuff i do down here in south east australia in the "mountains " , that can br from Farm land to alpine stuff but nothing like rocky NZ country etc.!!

ive put them thru a few paces now, mostly mud lol.

i need to put some form of water proofer thru them, they are staying dry now but it just wouldnt hurt to keep some conditioner to them!?
