For the following.

General all round boot???
(Nevada's??)

Back packing Boot -high country???

(Dakotas??)

Bush stalking ... (I think I'm covered with the Summit option here for warmer month plus bush stalking..)

I'm in the market...love most of them, feel all good but want to narrow down, can't really afford 3 sets but it's looking like that's where I'm at...

Getting a slight discount we could say 😎

Love to hear what you think of the Boots and which Horse for what Course.

Thanks

I have two pair of the guide gtx. One uninsulated and one insulated. They’re so comfortable I forget I have them on. Turkey, deer ,bear, moose or upland hunting, it’s all I wear anymore. I have wide feet and the footbed in these are perfect. Great product

I have a pair of Summit gtx's non insulated. they are extremely well made, but the soles are pretty soft on some of them. Keep an eye on the hardness numbers.

Mine are 3.5 years old and in perfect condition but the soles are worn off completely, they are flat smooth.

I think I'm going to get them resoled because of how good of shape they are in still.

I had a pair of danners that fell apart in 3 years, these crispis seem like they would last over 10 years if they had soles left.

Aku Griffon GTX has been my all around boots.
- Plenty of ankle support, comfortable from 10c to -15c. Minimal break-in period

I have been running the crispi bricksdale for general hunting in mixed terrain. Like slippers from the first day.
I bought a second pair of the brickdale mountain SF for a two week sheep hunt and did not break them in before the trip and no problems at all either. We hiked 183km on that trip. Again like slippers from day one.

When it came time to replace my old Kenetreks, I tried the Crispis...just didn't quite fit my feet as well as I would have liked. Ended up with a pair of Scarpas that I use for mountain hunting. Fit was great, and comfortable from the first try. Have had no issues to date.
(I didn't get another pair of Kenetreks. While I liked them and wore them for 15 years before they wore out, they took a long time to break in, with several trips to the cobbler to stretch them enough to make them comfortable.)
I have been looking at the Meindl lightweight hunters for general use, but cannot find a place that carries them so that I can try before I buy.

I wear the crispi Thor Gtx. I bought them on a whim in Summer 2024 for a hunt in Ireland I was doing. They have the orange accents and I got them at 50% off…. Basically I had to buy them. I love them. Completely waterproof through wet Irish landscape. Great for hiking up the Wicklow hills in Ireland. They are uninsulated so not for a cold weather hunt here in Saskie.

Overall very comfortable to wear all day. Good support. Soles are firm for rougher terrain.
