CRN or DLC Coatings

Hi All,

Does anyone know of any suppliers in Canada that can perform CRN and/or DLC coatings on pistol components?

Thanks!

Not sure about CRN but DLC Is under PVD coatings in the refinishing section, they can do all kinds of parts, even if its not listed call or send them a message about what you'd like to have done

Thank you - my only concern with them is their seemingly spotty track record on CGN. I'm concerned about sending them a 12K infinity...

Not sure about their track record here, but I have been to their store and met the owner in person, and he seemed like a good guy. And I've also seen their refinishing work on rifles and parts on display in the showroom.

From what I gathered they really cater to the police/security and military market

I have used a local company in Mississauga for DLC coating motorcycle fork legs, but he is not a gun guy so I wouldn't bring gun parts to him, especially when your talking about the kinda of hand gun you have. I would rather have someone experienced with firearms doing the work. I do powder coating for motorcycles and I constantly have to fix terrible work done by industrial coaters that are only used to coating railings and simple stuff, and end up making a mess of the motorcycle parts because they dont understand what can be coated, and what needs to be taped off or plugged to be able to reassemble them after. They pay cheap for the industrial coater, but then have to pay twice to get me to fix it

agreed, I want to be careful who I send it to but the options seem limited in Canada. thanks for the tip though, worth considering as an option!

High end race engines and injection molding are some other industries that commonly use these coatings, might be a place to start.
