I acquired a rifle some months back and when I went to the range I was shooting 8in to the right with no windage adjustment to the left. On further inspection I noticed the scope was not sitting straight on the rifle. The back was left and the front was to the right. I swapped the rear ring the opposite way and I got it looking better and was able to bore sight it. Any thoughts? Bad rings? Bad mounts? or bad installation? Thanks. BCKID

It could be the rings, or mounts, or mounting holes, or scope.

Place a long strait edge along the mount holes. It should point straight down the barrel. Check the mounts the same way. Place it along the sides. Get a long 1" bar and clamp it in the rings. It should point down the barrel.

If all is well, scope reticle not right.
