Crosman 2289 backpacker mods for power

The Sheridan is probably better made as far as fit and finish. I had the CO2 version of the Sheridan and it was extremely accurate and a heavy hitter.

Yes there is a bleed hole... It is the tap drill size for a 2-56 bolt. Just tap the hole and then turn in a bold hard. Then cut it off. My 2 shoot in the 440-460 fps. That is the single most important mod.

Got the 1322 , installed the ftp kit, and lubed the trigger parts, with a good quality synthetic lube, and its fine for good accuracy. If you mod much more , then a longer barrel is required, as the pellet is long gone before all the air is used up...so wanna spend 500 bucks to make a carbine, or just go with the ftp , and enjoy a hard hitting compact unit, at low cost, and less pumps..
ps, did crown the barrel when I had it apart, and it shoots into the same hole at 10 meters with 14.3 grain premier pellets.
the sights, rear I swaped ends, and went for the peep, and dished out the plastic front , and jb welded a fiber optic rod on it...
Cheers
