**for barn pigeons**
Hey guys-in my pursuit of the "perfect"/budget pigeon blaster...I've cycled through an Industry Brands QB-79 (22, should have kept it) a Diana 24C in .177, a Diana 24 in .22 and lastly...a QB-78 with designs on having it tuned for a little more power. All killed pigeons just fine, but all had their limitations and generally speaking, I hate 12gr. CO2 for about 100 reasons.
The least problematic air guns I ever owned/used were pump-up pneumatics, and I wouldn't pretend to guess how many pests my old 1377 (with the 1399 stock) has dispatched. Got that gun in about 1985. lol In all honesty, as much as I like airguns I take almost no pleasure in actually shooting them now. Especially pumpers..but here we are. lol
Anyhow, pigeons are generally NOT smart things of course, but DO recognize a threat quickly...so by the time you've taken 5-10 shots...usually a few are on the ground and the rest long gone. Seems to me that for a light, affordable .22 cal air rifle capable of some impressive velocity with few pumps, the Crosman 362 might be a good choice. (+steel breech to mount a scope)
Just wondering if anyone here has one, what pellets it likes...if it's being used for any pest control, etc. Obviously, I'm expecting a light/cheap-ish Crosman (=think I'm realistic) but these seem to be well received based on the reviews...?
