Well, some gentle vice work with towels and spacers and I've got it 100% straight. And it shoots 100% straight now with the sights centered. So ill call that a win. Seems a little more accurate now also.
I won't lie, I love working on stuff. I'm not even mad haha.
Good job.
Well thanks. I debated for about 0.5 seconds the idea of contacting crosman and sending it back. A bent barrel shouldn't really happen on a brand new gun, but these days I've come to accept that this kinda crap happens all the time. Took under half an hour to make it right again.
I've come up with some plans since I had it partially taken down. Need to fix that front sight in place with some silicone or something. And I'll be making a tube/bbl spacer to stiffen the barrel out of steel epoxy, as well as tightening the barrel fit in the front band with electrical tape like I do with my 13xx guns. Definitely going to be putting a red dot or reflex sight on this thing.
I'm really starting to like it as I work out it's shortcomings. Typical crosman haha
Also, it needs a dampener to calm down the volume when pumping it up. Holy does it ever clack loud. I draw more attention to myself pumping the thing than i do shooting it... Im considering using silicone to bed the pump arm to the tube, and also put a layer of silicone over the steel piece the magnet sticks to.
There are fixes for it. Same issue as the 13xx. They're known as the Clackers. People put soft side of velcro on the tube. Or I think its 7/16" vinyl tube over the pump arm linkage.
I used to think the 13XX guns were loud to pump. The 362 is honestly several orders of magnitude louder than my 1322. Vinyl tube is a good call.
Different shooter?![]()
7.25 pumps should get you spot on

this guy was kind-of disappointed but then found some pellets that worked
