Not sure how old they are. I didn't buy them new, but there is a good chance they were new when the rifle was puchased approx 20yrs ago.Dogleg said:I would say they are Warnes, but a one screw variation. How old are they?

Dogleg said:I would say they are Warnes, but a one screw variation. How old are they? The picture I posted earlier are of an older set, here is yet another variation with the bottom screws opposite the levers. They are, BTW alot easier to get the scope on straight with then the type with the screws hidden under the thumb-levers. To the best of my knowledge these are the latest version.

What I like about these rings is they take up less space on the rear bridge...There is enough space there for a dovetail to install a rear peep like Boomer has on his .375 Brno...IIRC Boomer had to have his rear bridge extended to accommodate the rear peep......THAT's why I asked Demomical about his rings to begin with as they are narrow also...Dogleg said:I would say they are Warnes, but a one screw variation. The Warne boys have their heads on straight.
guntech said:Warne offers both styles ... one is considered permanent the other quick detachable. Look in the current Brownells catalog ... page 336.
Dogleg said:Guntech,
I had the permanent Warnes, and trust me, none of the pictured rings are them. Dustin on this board has them now, maybe he will put up a two-sided picture. The second set I posted are the thumb lever QDs that I replaced them with.

Dogleg said:Guntech,
Of course they are Warnes; up to and including the little bump on top. What they aren't is permanent as is shown by this picture of the other side. All the other rings are shown from both sides, and show the levers so this has to be the one you thought were permanent. I had the permanent rings that you show, and got rid of them when I finally found the QDs I was looking for.

Hey Jim ........ That's a BRNO 600 in 30/06. The trigger is the normal, non-set job. It needs to be adjusted as it's quite heavy.Demonical said:Off on another tangent!![]()
Supercub I want to know what kind of trigger is on that 602!!![]()
The goofy set trigger on the ZKK-602 is the only thing wrong IMHO. I'd love to get an improved trigger.

Dogleg said:Timney makes a trigger for the 550; whether that will fit to the 602 action is another thing. The limited handling that I've done with 602 set triggers left me very under-impressed to say the least. The CZ 550 is a different animal though and I saw no need to do anything but set my two. I can't think of another make that puts trigger setting instructions in the manual. I may be odd man out, but I like the set trigger. As to reliability, how many times does something have to work, before it works?![]()
There are other options for the 602, Boomer would probably know.
Dogleg said:Hey, I know this one!The hole is for stripping the bolt striker assembly down. You slip the tool over the striker spring retainer, push the "keyhole" between the second rtainer and the striker spring and use it to compress the spring. Unscrew the first retainer and slowly relax the spring. I figgered this out when I put my Gentry 3 Position Safety in.
