Crossman 1132 22cal pistol

I have a pal rated 2289. Makes about 670 fps on 20 pumps. If you're going to have a pal air rifle, my opinion would be to buy a nitro piston model. 20 pumps gets old fast.

I think the 2289 is classified as a Pistol (RPAL). Better stop pumping to 20 or get a weaker hammer spring.

I am not sure but you might be able to get unmarked 'receivers' from Crosman that will work as 'receivers' for a 1322/1377 or Backpacker (no markings)

Be sure to inquire now before unmarked pipes are decleared prohibited weapons. . . :jerkit:

In all honesty though, if I was to reside in a more sensible province where the Good bergers at DNR were not so superstitious and easily spooked by trifling things that seem to be such a threat to them, I would go with a good quality air rifle for hunting (won't put anything specific in here so as not go give the superstitious good bergers in your province any stupid ideas).

Ive had mine for about 12yrs now. Shot it very little but when I did it really thumped hard and accurate for a .22 pellet gun.
Installed a steel breech and metal rear sight (can't remember make) and wood from RB Grips..... IIRC.

If the receiver or main tube is marked with a model number designated as a pistol, it is a pistol no matter how it is dressed up. Even the 2289 is considered a pistol because the stock is removable.

I think a 2260 tube will allow you to build a rifle. I don't know if there's a pumper tube that would allow the same.

I got a 1377 with a shoulder stock (came with grips) as package for my 16th birthday...almost 29 years ago! I still have it, and have long thought about getting one of the new 1322s and doing it up a little. (steel breech, scope, etc.) They're great guns, accurate, no CO2 to contend with, etc. I used to put 200-300 shots a day through mine and mind the pumping one bit. Granted...I was 16-17... :)

Anyhow, a new 1322 is in the cards for sure...just awfully distracted by the new .204 Ruger I just got.
