Crow hunting

A buddy of mine put bread soaked with antifreeze out with his garbage one morning. Crows came and ate it and flew up onto a powerline near by. 5 mins later they fell over dead. I have yet to try this for myself, but it sounds tempting.

Never hunted them. I hear they are good eating though. Maybe one of these days I will get around to trying it.

I thought that you used the knife as a screwdriver.... how does that even stay on?

You can get that same red dot scope with smaller mounts on it (tip off mounts which are designed for a .22 as opposed to weaver style mounts)

thank god, do you think canadian tire would have it or is it someplace special?

Crow Hunting

Well I live on Migratory flight path for crows on my farm, our should say my brothers farm now.Anyways it can get fast and furious some mornings when they are migrating to Chatham. When you turn on that crow caller first thing in the morning look out they come from everywhere. We have crow decoys set up in the field in front of us with a owl sometimes on the fence post.Have a old fallen down tree in a swale between fields that we have made a blind out of.Trick is if you can see or hear them coming before they see you most of the time there good as dead, but every once an awhile they do get away. They do have great eye sight once you see them turn there head when they are coming at you ,you have been made.I enjoy getting out with my freinds on Saturday morning to sharpen our shooting skills.

Here a picture of one of shoots,we got 17 crows that day.

Shot 14 on monday while crane/goose hunting. They are really flocking up around here. 3.5 inch BB's are good crow medicene. One just kinda hovered in the wind over the blind, maybe 10 feet up and 3 of us hit him almost simultaneously. Nothing but feathers hit the ground.:D
