For $8000, a person could have a far superior custom rifle built, and still have plenty left over for some fancy furniture or artwork to sit back, and admire.

I guess it is a collector thing as apparently they are not going to make any more. There was one on Guns America that was listed for $10,000 and it sold.

There are many firearms that are no longer in production, but I wouldn't spend that kind of money, just to own one.
