Gentlemen,

I'm a newbie hunter and I need some help with the crown land designations.
I've found the Ontario crown land atlas here:

http://crownlanduseatlas.mnr.gov.on.ca/tilemaps/tileindex_sc.html

There is the color code on the map, with the different designations. So where can I hunt without any special permit?
Not in the "existing provintial/national park", not in the "indian reserve" and not in the "private/patent land" right?

What about the others?

If you don't know, do you know who contact about this?

Thanks,

Rudi

Does it mean that I can hunt on a land which marked as "indian reserve"? Don't I need a permission from the chief/somebody?

Thanks,

Rudi

Yeah, so that's why I'm asking. Based on the crown land map it seems that e.g. an indian reserve is a crownland, still it is perhaps not good for hunting. There are another bunch of different designations on these maps.
Is there anybody who knows and willing to explain me what means what?

eg. general use area, ANSI resource management zone, ANSI core protection zone, existing conservation reserve, forest reserve, enhanced management area, wilderness area, overlay designation.

Thanks,

Rudi
