crown land for a camping trip

Looking for some crown land within 5-7 hours of toronto to go camping. Hoping for some fishing and canoeing. Anyone got any ideas.

Alright so far I have heard a couple thinks about Temagami, and the river system for canoeing. Anyone?

I try to go every year. We camp out on the rock on Grassy Lake. My buddy had floated up a ten foot stainles steel table that was there for ten years until some ass stole it.

Mayo Lake is just outside of Bancroft and is surrounded mainly by Crown land. The lake has excellent fishing.

What about Algonquin? Theirs plenty of interior lakes which you can have all to yourself, with campsites you wont have to start from scratch on.

Spent a summer there...many moons ago.
