Gravel pits in Southern Ontario are usually private property and posted as such. The owners take a very dim view of people using them as impromptu shooting ranges.
That and they're not much use as they're all full of water.

Gentlemen,
Can you please advise if it is allowed to practice target shooting (non-restricted) on Crown Land?
Cheers,
Bancroft, and Parry Sound are probably some of the closer places where you will find some crown land.
That said is it worth the drive?
Why not just come out to Silverdale, and drop me a PM when you do? LOL
Having trouble with this crown land thing!
BEST KEPT SECRET EVER!!!
I am located in the god for saken GTA (New to the area, not guns! )
Just wondering on the "Crown Land Use Policy Atlas" if the beige "General Use Area" means I would be allowed to shoot on this land providing I check with municipality to ensure there is no bylaw against discharging a fire arm in that area?
can anyone shed light on this? I'm sure it will help alot of us!
I live in the GTA. How north would I have to travel until I'm in "certified" crown land?
