I want to thank Rich again for putting this match on this past weekend. It was challenging, but a ton of fun! Everyone helped out RO’ing, spotting, cleaning up, etc and the atmosphere was great. Hope to see more of these matches pop up!
 
kane definitely did better then I did. I am hooked as well... so much so that I have already put in an order for steel targets from a local laser cutter. I really hope they run more events.
 
Nice. I made probably 20 steel targets. From 8” diamonds to 1” squares and everything in between. Even made a Pepsi challenge rack for 135 yards. The pit we practice in is good for 380 yards. I leave all the far targets out and just set up the 135-75 yard targets.
Maybe if there aren’t any more in Ontario a few of us could get together for a day?
 
@swish, I shot well and finished in the top 1/3. Made some mistakes, learned some lessons, I'm a better rifleman for it, and had a great time to boot! I went in concerned that my Savage MkII would hold me back a bit, but I don't feel at all like that was the case. Missed happened because of me, not the rifle. Well that and similar to Crouchie, I started adding 1mil to 1.5mil of elevation for the farther targets than my data said I should have needed. Gotta get that figured out as well.

Good job! Yea shooting the actual distance to get or verify my dope paid off.
My issues also were not the rifle. ��
 
This was my first match and first time trying to go past 50 yds with a 22 and i finished near the bottom but i had a blast and learned alot of what i am doing wrong can't wait for the next one. Also looking forward to some outlaw matches.
