I would like to welcome the Crumlin Sportsman Association to the joys of IPSC.I have just completed the first ever Black Badge course at the club and they are looking at more courses in the near future and holding matches in the comming year. Welcome aboard guys

You are not mistaken Onagoth . This change was spearheaded by some progressive thinkijng board members that wanted to shoot IPSC. Lets hope that they dont loose their position and the club reverts back. We need to show support for this change of heart

Wholly fark....purple monkeys are going to start flying out my @ss....

This is the last club I thought would ever allow IPSC to take place. Last time I was there, I got the evil eye and a stern talking to, from a member for loading more than five rounds in the mag, and firing them faster than 2 seconds between each shot.

this has to be some kind of practical joke....pics or it didn't happen!

it's true, i'm one of those guys (board director also). I made the motion last board meeting to bring it to our club and it passed. We have to get our 2 approved action ranges (cowboy) stamped by the CFO for IPSC but that shouldn't be a problem since we already shoot cowboy there. It will be a while before we can hold an event there since we don't have any RO's yet (we can if we can import some though which we have been talking about). Myself and the other 3 guys still have to shoot our qualifier to be officialy BB holders but that will happen in the next 2 weeks.

when we hold an event, it will be open to anyone with a current BB to shoot at our club. As for now, club members with current BB's will only be allowed to shoot at Crumlin.

Colour me more than shocked!
In the best interests of having more clubs shooting action sports, I would be more than willing to help you out with your inaugural match, i am an ipsc RO, can also help you out with some stage design, if you need it for your first match....let me know, you can pm me with your info if you would like. I shoot at eesa, but live in London.

I am still shocked! lol!

that would be great, i have had so many offers from a great group of people to help out. I would like to have a match when the weather gets better and once we get the cert from the CFO. I will PM'ing you for sure on that. Maybe we will run into each other over the next little while, i plan on getting out to waterford to do my qualifier and then oxford and eesa. the more ipsc i can get involved with, the better the experience will be at our club.

there are pics but I don't know how to post them maybe c can do i9t for us seeing as how he took them

it was good to see a few of you guys today in Brantford, lots of laughs and fun. I'm sure we will see more of each other since our clubs are all within an hour of each other.

Getting "outside" RO's hopefully shouldn't be a problem. I know that at last years IPSC Ont AGM they wanted to start a Mentoring program for new clubs but I am not sure of the status of this. I know that there were a few volunteers for this. Maybe fire off a email to IPSC Ont to see if they can help. They are always eager to help out new clubs just starting out.

Cheers,

I was under the impression that crumlin didn't allow action shooting, did the BoD loosen up of am I just mistaken?

simply put im guesing crumlin was tired of losing all new potential members to East Elgin because East Elgin dosnt look down on black rifle / pistol crowd.

it's even more simple than that, we have lots of members that want to shoot IPSC and as a new board director i thought it was time to give the membership what they want. I'm going to try and shoot the next tuesday night match so i can see what "I AM" missing by not being a member of EESA and why i should not be a member there and Crumlin.
