Crumlin Sportsman

OK, we had our CFO inspection today for shooting IPSC on our ranges. We now have 4 ranges approved. 2 x 50 yard ranges (outdoor), 1 x 200 yard range and 1 20 meter indoor range. as of now all ranges are approved for 90 degree course of fire. we have one range that will approved for 50 yard 45 degree course of fire as soon as we cut down the tree line in front of the berm. Lots of fun to be had soon as the weather gets better.

I am very excited for you guys. It is so refreshing to see more clubs getting into IPSC family.

4 more new provisional black badge holders from Crumlin finished Ron Malloy's course yesterday (3/24/2013). We currently have 12 more members waiting to do a course. We are going to try and run a bigger BB course outside as soon as the weather gets better.

Maybe they are working on getting enough members to be affiliated?
On a positive note, good to hear the course went well, will be watching for the paperwork:)

You don't have to start everything you say on a negative note...
Anyhow, from what I know, the club IS already affiliated, so perhaps you should get your facts straight before posting any negative notes. :-/

MrClean and I met one of the guys from Crumlin while we were instructing at the CQB Clinic, sounds like you have a really good facility down there.
Let me know when you guys put on a match, I'm looking forward to coming down and shooting with you guys.

They usually don't allow more than 5 rounds in a pistol magazine? Why is that?

When I visited about a year ago, I noticed their pistol range was a lot better kept than the rifle, so I'm surprised they're more restricting

What are the Rules like at other clubs?

Anyone heard of really outrageous rules at clubs like wearing reflective vests while changing targets?

club rules are no more than 5 pistol rounds loaded "UNLESS" you are :

1. shooting a bulls-eye match, or an organized bulls-eye practice.
2. shooting an IPSC match, or an organized IPSC practice.
3. shooting an PPC match, or an organized PPC practice.
4. shooting a Cowboy match, or an organized Cowboy practice.

Will I be able to put more than 5 rounds in my pistol magazine at Crumlin now?
One of the many reasons I left Crumlin for EESA. I think it is a very positive step in the right direction that IPSC is coming to Crumlin. Hopefully this is a sign of more positive changes to come with the club.
