The entire upper receiver and top rail are machined from a solid piece of aluminum. I'm curious as to why there are no CGN posts about them yet. Takes Glock mags. Comes with a high end TriggerTech trigger and Magpul furniture.I love the whole Knights Templar theme. Can't wait for the 10mm one to be engineered.

Price might be a bit steep but I like the looks of her. Any reviews yet?

It may not have been posted yet because Spectre LTD seems to have made it for an outfit called Crusader Arms, which is not a forum vendor to my knowledge. I'm not sure if this is Spectre Ltd trying to go through its own retail channel, since they've previously built the MCR for Wolverine. Their Galil folder didn't receive much coverage here until Wolverine started selling it with full rifles, since Spectre Ltd is not a forum vendor, either. Until the vendor is confirmed as a forum supporter, forum rules dictate no direct links can be posted, though you can name the retailer and item, and people can search from there on their own.

As an aside, this also explains why Spectre LTD was reluctant to provide uppers to True North Arms for their MCR 9mm conversion kit, as their upper foundry was busy trying to craft the Crusader. Hopefully a forum vendor like Wolverine will be given the opportunity to sell whole units, and the builder kits, which include the upper and lower, but no trigger, stock or pistol grip with for use with re-homing parts from safe queens. It hasn't been announced, but I suspect they also eventually make upper kits with magwell adapters available, so people can either get a spare upper for their MCR, or find a use fro their pre-Spec 180 MCR lowers.

I'm pretty interested in this thing and I already have an FX-9. Spectre has great after-market support (I also have a WS-MCR) and I love that it's made in Canada too. I eagerly await initial reviews and availability to determine when to start saving my Canuckbucks! Triggertech makes good triggers so that's pretty sweet that it comes standard and the HK-style non-reciprocating charge handle begs to be slapped (I hope they make the MP5-style mentioned in the Code of Arms video soon) so that would be fun, I think.

Watched the video, thanks for posting.

I definitely would get one of these. Canadian made is a plus. The one piece aluminum is a plus. And yes, I doubt it is heavier than the aluminum handguard PC carbine. As for looks, I dunno - I tend to regard functionality and reliability over looks. I mean, both the CX Storm and the Kriss Vector are not the most pleasant aesthetically, but I would rather take reliability over something that looks good but is problematic.

It may not look as nice looking as the FX9, but not as boring as the PC Carbine, both of which I have.

Agree with other sentiments about the polys...they recently sent Minister Mendicino a list/pictorial of what they'd like see banned and it was heavy on the PCC models.

Happy to see this being released as well as the Kodiak K9. Good to see the Polys haven't discouraged new product offerings.

Doesn't look like there are any specs or anything on the website - shop only has stickers and tshirts.

Just saw the price - $1649 + tax...yikes... There is a cheaper one ($1349) without stock, grip, buffer tube or trigger.

It was mentioned elsewhere they only had a limited number to purchase initially, so you needed to call or email them to order one directly. The specifications and price can be found under the link labeled CRUSADER9 on their web site.

Hi there, I had a look just now. Don't see anything about the dimensions or weight. I will contact them to see what availability is like. I know buying bleeding edge is not always good, but definitely want to support Canadian made stuff where possible.

I won't be getting one and in fact I fail to see how they are going to sell 100 units per month. They say it is a "competition" gun. What competition would that be as of now (or even a year or two from now) in Canada, realistically speaking?

$1649 is double the price of base Ruger PC. Even takedown with m-lock foreend Ruger PC is $350 cheaper. Ok fine, I would pay double for a product. But I look at this two by four front end which is about double height of what it could be, this full length pic rail on a pistol carabine and all I see is unwieldy bulk floating on top of slim and elegant AR15 lower.

I don't mean to discourage the manufacturer, but it just seem to be... way too optimistic for them.

PS
Notice how in that video at around 7:45 an AR-180B looks way more modern and polished and.... proportional?

Hmmm...you have a point. Definitely is in the same contest as my NR Kriss Vector with the ugly elephant trunk barrel.
