Crusader Templar or Lockhart Raven

I would say that the Raven is the superior platform at the moment with the asterisk that both are somewhat unknown as to their long term reliability.
The Raven is more customizable, lighter and uses more easily obtainable AR parts. Crusader Arms has never really solved their QC issues and have poor after sales support. I do not know how Lockhart's after sales support is like to compare though.
As a single point of comparison, my direct experience is that both the Ravens and Templars that I've used have been perfectly reliable and well built.

Although not my first rifle I had the same question about the crusader and Raven. After reading and watching YouTube I decided on the Raven and I'm sure happy with it. I bought a gold locally and ordered the platinum upgrade kit from Lockheart. Im sure the crusader is a good gun too i just prefer a more traditional AR feel and look. Who am i kidding... i will probably have both one day. I see prairie gun traders a site sponsor has 1 left
Because they work and shoot very well. Gobbling all internet naysayer and complainers, leave good guns in the hand of people who know better than listen to crappy reviews.
Great engine once bulletproofed.
My buddy got a phenomenal deal on a used F350 that had just started burning coolant. I helped him do the mods over a weekend and that truck has been nothing but stone reliable the last eight years or so. Good on fuel, beaucoup power and he doesn’t baby it.
Guys that bought one brand new from the dealership and suffered now I admit that’s a different story,but, then again I have trouble relating to someone who flushes money down the toilet by buying brand new. I like to make more fiscally responsible choices like blowing 3000$ on a wannabe AR that could be banned when

Raven, no question. I've owned both, and the Raven is the far superior platform so long as it remains NR. It is the best you can currently get in terms of Canadian-made and AR15-like. At least until we get our genuine AR15s back.....

I geuss we’re all wrong, oh and stock 6.0l are great and we should use the uncertainty of future bans to justify junk guns. I’f it’s a budget thing I’d take a t97 over any 180/181

We've been spoiled by more refined Rifles...that said I know there's a few issues with the Canadian 180's, but if I was going to buy a second MSR, I'd certainly consider one of them.
I have an RDB, which has been great, BUT, you can't just buy parts like you can for other common Rifles like the X95. I actually considered getting another gently used RDB, you can get two for the price of an X-95, one to beat up, one to keep for the collapse of civilization.
I'm really liking the Bullpup, I stood at the counter with an X95, and an RDB, both in excellent condition, in the end I left with an X95, I'm only keeping one MSR, I'll take the one that I can buy all the major parts today, vs., maybe, maybe not.
If you are just looking for an MSR to punch paper, an RDB is a good buy, just be aware of the problems, as there's a few relatively minor ones. There's a few threads here that cover all the known issues, from firing pins to who brought it into the Country.
The X95 is clearly the superior Rifle...and clearly, I have to sell a few firearms in the future to offset the cost.
