Crush washer alternatives?

Maybe I am missing something, but why do you think a jam nut would back off easier than a crush washer?

I was just saying from a physical standpoint.
A crush washer is metallurgically sprung against the muzzle device like a lock washer. A jam nut has no flex, its simply torqued like a lug nut. With minimal rotation its completely loose. Ive had jam nuts come loose on lathes, drill presses etc...

I understand. I doubt any torqued jam nut is any easier to loosen in the first place though. I tried both multiple times and I avoid using crush washer nowadays, especially when I'd like to change up muzzle devices from time to time.

Whether direct or with jam nut or shim kit, try including an annealed copper washer as a locking agent.
It's very resilient to shocks and thermal cycling.
Releases easier than Rocksett too.
