Hey guys,

Today I picked up my new to me CSA 11.8" carbine in 7.62x39. The rifle came with the NEA railed upper handguard (very impressed by the way) and it now has me wondering about optics. After going over a few options I have decided on a red dot, specifically the Bushnell TRS-25.

Does anyone have any experience in putting optics on the NEA handguard? Does it retain its zero? How are the TRS-25s? Does the sight just mount right on the rail or does it require extra hardware?

Thanks

There's about a million threads and one general VZ optics sticky on this exact subject matter.

Yes, it works well.
Yes, it mounts straight to the rail.
Yes, it does a very good job of retaining zero.

Nice rig Stevo! Where'd you get the adaptor to use an AR buffer tube? Does it run a standard AR buffer tube? Commercial or milspec? Is it folding or non? The reason I ask it looks more straight than the fab defence stuff I've seen, and is exactly what I want to put on my vz
