I like the version without the dust cover rail... Damn I really dig the look of the 11.8" jobs I really need my RPAL but all the ranges that are taking new members are too far for me to make it worth getting a membership to even get the damn rifles

This might seem like a dumb question, but is there anyway to re-engineer the dust cover to more of like an AK look? by that I mean go all the way to the rear sight basically and could serve a dual purpose of a shell deflector as well?
