Well, after a long wait and a lot of imaginary pics in my head on how it would look/turnout here is the pic of the csa compact, This is the first the pic of the compact that i have ever seen so please excuse my excitement. This is straight off CSA's site.

FVCK in cant wait for this thing.......

For some reason it reminds me of a person with their head shrunk. Everything on the rifle looks much bigger than it should because the barrel is so short. Looks badass

If this is truley what the end product will look like. Well then no wonder why they are having so much trouble tiring to get the action to cycle properly.
They would have to make the piston part of the bolt carrier and reduce the force required to move it considerably. But hot damm that would shoot flames. Wonder what the grouping would look like? 00 Buck? Or maybe #7 Trap Loads? LoL!!!

Who cares, i want one!

Neat, cool looking, but I can't see that working well. Crap accuracy, serious velocity loss, huge amounts of un-burned powder, cycling issues, blinding flash- this is my preview of the reviews to come. I think I still want one.:HR:

Boy, not much room to put a hand on the handguard. Better wear gloves so you don't burn your hand on the barrel/gasblock!

Looks like they'll need to put a krink-like muzzle device on there to prevent burning of firers' eyebrows :)

the compact will look great with a short mag .

i guess it too early to say how easy is it to shorten the 5.56 mag.
