The weirdest thing happened, I got my brand new csa and it came with the cz 858 wood/plastic stock, no side mount scope rail and no flash hider. Has anyone else had this experience? I thought that all the 5.56 models had the synthetic skeleton stock, rail and flash hider.

Mine is an early version from Wolverine and it indeed came with the plastic skeleton stock and the side scope mount. However, it did not come with a flash suppressor but had a thread protector screwed on. Maybe this is why the newer ones are around $50 cheaper?
Just looked at one today, it was exactly as you described yours.

I guess I should be glad I got it when I did... because these new ones sound to be watered down quite a bit.
The option of adding the muzzle break and scope mount are still available. They can be purchased at the same dealer that you purchased your rifle from. Both the scope mount and the muzzlebreak can be had for about $ 69 retail so even with those additions your saving a considerable amount off what the original price was.
The down side of them coming with the break and the mount is the people that aren't interested in the scope mount or the muzzle break are forced to swallow the extra cost of something they don't need or want.
Also the biggest complaint we received about these was how undesireable the skeleton stock was, so that was the first thing to go. I can't imagine doing a CQB course or a 3 gun match with that thing.

Mine has a skeleton stock. It is not as bad as most people make it out to be. I am not saying that I am going to keep it that way, as I have a stock from Zahal on my CZ858 that absolutely is the best - perhaps almost too much length of pull though.
