CSA Question

FWIW apparently is just the earlier .223 versions that had problems.

Possibly, but there have been a few posts on problems with the 7.62x39 versions. A couple of broken bolts come to mind immediately. Personally, my 11.8" carbine in x39 has been solid through several hundred rounds to date, but that is hardly broken in compared to some of the round counts guys have on these.

I haven't had a chance to look at it yet but apparently a shooting buddy's 7.62 CSA has a long list of issues. Cracked bolt carrier, busted receiver pin, handguard pin falling out, and something with the rails in the receiver. All this in about 2k rounds.

I've seen the cracked carrier, but not the rest, yet.

CSA's quality certainly seems to have taken a nose dive, lately.

Mine is headed back for warranty work right now.

Broken top cover pin, bolt is peening the chamber and two spots above the chamber every time the bolt closes.

So far I'm not impressed. However it feeds and functions extremely well other than the occasional light primer strike. :(

It's a great gun, theoretically, but as others have said with the CZ not being imported any more what choice do we have if we want a CZ/VZ 858/58 pattern rifle.
