This sounds interesting
The vz. 58 family will also be richer in next few months as development of .22 long rifle conversion kit is in its final stage.
So that conversion kit will be only for 5.56 to .22lr, and not 7.62 to .22lr, right?

Yeah, according to one of the US dealers. So that conversion kit will be only for 5.56 to .22lr, and not 7.62 to .22lr, right?
CSA Skorpions
Even I am having trouble sorting out rumour from fact on this one! What is legal in the US and what is legal in Canada are often not the same. Surplus .32 Skorpions sell cheap in Europe, our problem is that we will have to order Skorpions with newly manufactured receivers to avoid them classed as prohib, that increases the production costs. The market here for a restricted .32 Skorpion with a 5 rd mag is small., the end result is that I don't think this is going to be a viable project. We have also been advised that if we import a “new” Skorpion it will cause the classification of ALL Skorpions to be closely scrutinized, given our current political climate that is something I would rather not be responsible for! This project is not dead, but on the back burner.

CZ-91S were made in 9mm. If you were to make a run in 9mm I bet you would find more buyers. .380 is such an oddball cartidge in Canada.
I think the market is ripe. Look at the EE, people are selling Skorpions over $2500! And people are buying! These were less than 1500 originally weren't they?
Naivety abounds.
Put me down for one in 9 mm.
Reclassification??
Sure - from a 5 round carbine to a 10 round pistol sounds right.

Basically, the Skorpion is about as legal as an SPAS12 shotgun, but someone at the CFC never did their research and they got in with restricted FRT #s.
it is registered as a commercial semi-auto pistol, at least that what it states on my registration
