Hey,

I got a BC Tactical rail on right now, and I am happy, looks great, and is solid fit. but I am just courious to know how it compares to the B&T http://w ww.bt-ag.ch/en/manufacturing/handguards/rifle_handguards.php?pid=344 which is sold at wolverines for $405. I am considering trying one out for my next csa hunting rifle. Any exprience is welcome.

Regards

My current BC tactical rail. You need a dremel and sometime on your hand to make it fit right. Which is nice because your getting a custom fit at the end of the day. It will fit. It just needs a little bit of sanding in a few spots.

Haven't heard of anyone owning a B&T rail. Their stuff looks pretty though, seen some of their items on swiss rifles. However, to much coin in my opinion.

Might want to look at a set from Dlask as well.

I am currently running a Dlask bottom and a NEA upper.

NEA tapered bottom simply does not float my boat. I like the Dlask as it was a drop in fit.
Even without tightening the set screw at the bottom it fit nice and tight. Added a Magpul AFG to the bottom rail (had to forward bias the grip) to ensure adequate clearance for the magazine/hand when rotating it forward to install/remove.

Using the NEA upper since it allows co-witnessing with my Bushnel TR-25.
Dlask version allows you to use iron sights but does not allow co-witnessing using the optics of my choice.

Adds a little weight up front but factory plastic forend was a little to slick/small/incorrectly shaped for my liking.

Are the dlask pressure fitted? I really like the bc tactical. More slick. I just hope the exposed piston is not a issue. They got a few nice muzzle brakes at dlask.

Actually I have found that the exposed piston allows my rifle to cool quicker. As most of the hot gas quickly escapes. As far as B&T design...
I can say I am not really a fan of screw together handguards placed between an open bolt design with a gas piston slaping back and forth. Plus the heavy $400 + price tag leaves me to wonder. Is it really worth all that doe??? If it is then why aren't more people running it?
Realy interested in hearing the in's and out's of the B&T set-up and pic's if it's possible from any of the owners out there. Plus what are your likes or dis-likes about this set-up.
