It's hard to explain. Drift into the Red rifles section, and there's several threads dealing with SKS-Ds, drum mags, etc.
It'll be explained in better detail than I can here. The experts on this stuff even have it covered just in the stickies, I believe. The SKS-D is set up to use AK mags.
