I'm wondering what is involved in converting the magwell of the CSA vz 58 to accept the 10 round pistol magazines that I've seen advertised.
The XCR ones seem to be the only ones in 7.62 x 39 and Wolverine Supplies says that permanent modification is required to the rifle, but that you can still run the original 5/30 magazines in it without any problems.
Can someone explain to me what exactly is done to the the magwell that permanently modifies it and any PROS (aside from the obvious fun of a 5 round bonus) or CONS as a result?
Rough estimation of total cost?
Is there any way to accept a 10 round magazine without permanently modifying the gun?
Also, I'm a left handed shooter so the original magazine release on the rifle is convenient to use with my trigger finger. How does the magazine release position change with the conversion?
Thanks!
