Debating between the vZ and a NEA for the purposes of shooting cheap surplus. Both would be restricted (not interested in the long barrel vZ)

Which would you guys recommend and why? I know they are two different platforms but id like to hear from the experts.

Topics of concern:
-vZ cost is much higher
-NEA quality
-NEA ability to shoot hard primer surplus ammo
-cleaning corrosive stuff in both
-accuracy

Thanks!
Doug

VZ58 is a platform designed for the 7.62x39 where the AR15 is somewhat adapted to this caliber.

OVERALL: Magazines for VZ58 work reliably without any modification and are plentyful. I ran into feeding issues with 7.62x39 AR caused by the magazines and lots of light primer strike. Some AR will be picky on ammo to cycle reliably, my VZ eats every cheap surplus rounds without a hiccup.

CLEANING : cheap corrosive in a VZ is very simple too.

ACCURACY: some will say that 7.62x39 is the limiting factor for accuracy. Its true to some point but I produced 8-9" groupings at 300m with my VZ (prone position with oko reddot). Similar looking result were achieved with a 7.62x39 upper and a 5.56 10.5" upper at the same distance. 100m gets 2-4" groups depending on the position. Between 0 and 300m, its fine to work with, hit plates and Fig11

PRICE: a bit more expensive than it should but thats our market. Paid 400$ for mine wheb people were panic selling them :p

I have both and agree with everyone DT7 said.
I have found greater success with the LAR mags. Any of the 5/30 banana mags are inconsistent and unreliable thus far.
