Hey guys,

I have a new CSA VZ58, and I bought an AK side rail scope mount - does anyone know where I can get a shell deflector for it? I didn't buy the $85 dollar version sold at a few dealers with the integral deflector - thought that the weaver rail looked too short, and found a good AK side mount on line for under $20 bucks - but I need a shell deflector. Will the SKS shell deflector work - what are you guys who have scoped VZ58s or CZ858s using?

I think interammo has shell deflectors on their own. Where did you get the ak rail, I have a scope on the way but interammo doesn't have the rails anymore.

NEA makes a rock solid 1 but you pay for it's quality or you can get 1 from Marstar for cheap!

(*I don't recommend this 1 cuase of it not covering the entire scope over the action.*)

I'm really looking into CSA's red dot scope mount, anyone have one with an Aimpoint? Does it fit over the dust cover, away from ejecting shells?

Interesting Satain... Why would you need to cover entire scope? These deflectors were specifically designed and made in Czech republic for CZ/VZ rifles ...If you could provide details I will gladly pass them to the designer/manufacturer. With properly position rail and scope on the rifle the deflector works just great. (Note VZ 58 rifles have factory installed AK style rails.)

Has nothing to do with the spent casing but when I shoot in the rain or severe cold puff's blur out the scope temporaly when shooting. Hence why I recomend the other 2 versions as they cover the complete action. Not meaning that your shell deflector dosn't do what is was designed for just that I preffer the other type. Some people like Pepsi and some like Coke. Now if I could ask some thing from the manufactor I would reccomend it be extended a little further.
