Do you have to take it off to get the dust cover and bolt out, if so does it retain zero when you put it back on.

It's CSA. It's sold by Zahal. A site sponsor.
The grips are easy to mod if you have a dremel or like id64 has done remove the piece of metal that holds the vz grip and then the AK grip will fit with no mods. I've also seen AK to VZ grip adapters but they are really Not necessary.

I like it, not sold on that pistol grip though.

Don't knock it till you try it! the AK grip is my favorite of all grips on the VZ. I have AK grips on two of my 4 VZ's and like them the best of all I've tried. In fact I need a couple more. Lol. Plus they look good too.
