CSSA & CSAAA Join to start legal action- Ruger 10/22 mags

Regarding the slamming of RCMP in general, I would agree that the vast majority of members are great and they have a tough job to do. I have a retired friend who was a member and all the members I have met have been excellent. I'm sure there are some problem people like any organization but I haven't come across them. Their boss though, seems to be pretty bad but I can't blame the members for that.

Also agree on above. My pal rpal instructor was retired RCMP. He was a great guy during the course.

Hello, I am a member of the CSSA, NFA and CCFR...will be donating AND writing letters...just unbelievable....as a side note to Crossfyre comment about "the days of criminalizing Canadians at will are over" (the following may be "off topic re: firearms, but just another example of criminalizing Canadians) A Judge just recently overturned a terrorism conviction of two individuals (Amanda Korody/John Nuttal) because of RCMP "abuse of power", "entrapment", "a clear case of police manufacturing crime", "the role the police played is even more offensive because they violated the Criminal Code" AND "the world has enough terrorists ( criminals) ..we do not need the police to create more". This abuse of power against law abiding firearms owners has just got to stop! Maybe this latest RCMP / Political initiative will be the catalyst to unite ALL firearms owners (and others who support basic common sense and "freedoms"to say enough is enough. Keep up the momentum and thanks to all.

Indeed. I compete with 4 RCMP members every spring/summer. They are great guys and I look forward to hanging out with them every couple of weeks at my range. I also have a friend on a city police force. I go shooting with him now and then.
NONE of these guys think this attack on law-abiding firearms owners makes any sense at all.
NONE of them see this as having any impact on "making Canadians safer".
THREE of the four use Ruger 10/22 "high capacity" mags regularly.
They will tell you that the majority of the rank and file agree with them about these things (EG/ the Long Gun Registry).

Unfortunately, the "higher-ups" are political creatures, and see things quite differently for quite different reasons.
For the most, these "higher-ups" are the problem...our problem.

ok stop crying on RCMP please...

Same guys will confiscate your small banana mag.. ...

I'm not sure what "crying on RCMP" means, but it is important to distinguish the rank and file from the politically motivated "officer class".
Certainly, some rank and file are jerks, but many are not and side with us on these types of issues.

But indeed, the main point here is for us to be strong, united and organized in our resistance to this attack on our rights and liberties.
I say that it is also important to always be reasonable and to act reasonably.

no difference fo us, no one of yours precious friends stand up for us ! that' s it. .
How do you know they don't, are you watching them? I bet there are lots of them complaining of how tough/ impossible this will be to enforce and how much bad mojo it will make between them and us for no reason? How do you know there aren't 100's or even thousands of police across the country joining firearms groups and donating money to the cause,,, you don't! We can't use this issue to harp on the police, it is Political and the upper eschelon of RCMP are exactly that? We need to fight the politicians, educate the public and leave the beat cops out of this!

I received my weekly newsletter from Wolverine today and I was actually surprised to see it was all about sales. There was no mention of the 10/22 issue and pointed attention to the CSSA to get on board.

Many people on their newsletter are probably not in the know and would be ideal for them to be informed.

Just a thought.
