So today I stopped by my local CT and saw they had .22 LR ammo on clearance

I have never fired aguilla so I picked up two boxes of each type

if the work good I will go back but then again for the price I could also keep the ammo for plincking fun assuming it cycles my 10/22.

Ayone use this ammo and can give me a heads up on how they compare to CCI std

Aguilla High Velocity Reg price 7.29 paid 4.93
Aguilla Reg Velocity Reg price 7.29 paid 4.93
Aguilla Subsonic Reg price 8.56 paid 5.93
The blazer were 5.29

More fun

I bought 3 bricks of Aguilla standard velocity last year. Almost through the first brick. I really like it, I will be buying more when I run out. Can consistently shoot groups that fit in a quarter at 50m with my CIL/anschutz 310

I bought some aguilla a few years ago when I couldn't find cci mini mags anywhere. shot just fine but stinks........ from what I remember.

I also remember the smell. It's kinda like Eley, very much like super glue. I tried the SV and it shot fine but not amazing in my CZ.
Funny how Mexico manages to support a .22 manufacturer but Canada can't....

I tried aguilla in both of my .22's and still found cci mini mags more accurate. Really depends on the rifle I think. That's a good deal though.

Red box hv will do under 1/2" in my cz "all day long" I bought 4bricks at CT a couple years ago when there wasn't much rimfire around. The blue sv is on par with cci sv at 3/4" avg or so in the ones I tried it in. Lots seem to like cci sv but I haven't had much luck with it, the sub hp and suppressor are much better for me.

It's a step up from Rem and federal rounds for sure don't be scared.

I found the Aguilla High Velocity the best of the lot

Buy it while you can, our local CT only puts ammo on clearance if they are not going to carry that type any more.:(

That Aguila subsonic was the most accurate out of +\- 20 different brands I had tried in a Savage MKII I used to have. I try to keep a couple boxes on hand for trying in new rifles.

I read that Aguila bought some Eley machinery. They use the same priming system as Eley, so hence the Eley-like smell.

My experience with the Aguila Standard Velocity and Subsonic was that in terms of accuracy it was similar to CCI Standard Velocity. It is not as good as SK Standard Plus, which of course costs a little more.

my local C.T has had it on sale for a few months at that price, just tried a couple of boxes in couple of handguns and seemed fine.
Many years ago I had some in short and that stuff was as good as it gets in my H.S Olympic rapid fire pistol, best gopher gun .
