My point was it is not a great extra expense compared to the cost of the rifle, and then you'll have all the spare parts in the lower to use should you have a breakage in the other lower. Unlike AR's, cheap replacement parts aren't available for Swiss Arms lowers. There aren't any $30 spare parts kits for them, so in the long run, it's well worth it having the 2nd lower. Also there was the point that you already have $10000+ in rifles, and you're complaining about saving $500 to not get $1000 in extra parts. Kinda odd is all...

You have a very good point regarding the lower.....I think I may start searching for a reasonably (relative, I know) priced Carbine length SAN.
