Current BC LTATT wait time

It's specified on page 3 of my LTATT. It may be just a technicality, but I'm not going to risk it with my new toys.

Finally got my registration certificates in the mail - 19 days after LTATT & STATT received. So 4 months and 3 weeks after taking my RPAL course I can finally go and have some fun!

Approaching 4 weeks for me. Just received the registration cards on 3 firearms this afternoon....I don't know which was worse, waiting to pick them up or now staring at them in my safe, knowing I can't do anything with them!! Did I mention they are clean as a whistle haha

Figure I'll give it another week and perhaps then make an inquiry into the ATT : )

Did you apply by mailing/faxing your paperwork in? If you call the CFC and then use the BC CFO extension and apply by phone it's alot quicker.
I applied over the phone, faxed my range membership to them and had it emailed to me within a week and the only reason it took a week was because it sat on someone's desk. I called them to check on a transfer and happened to ask about the ATT and she was like "oh, it's here in the system but doesn't seem to have been processed yet" the next day it was in my email inbox, and it was sent by the Alberta CFO office.

You should call tomorrow and shake it loose from the paperwork pile, then you can head to the range!

Nail on the head !! Just got off the phone with the office, it appears they "didn't receive" my application .. Just emailed the AB office my range membership and was told to expect the email confirmation within 48 hours.

So to make it simple for anyone looking to apply : CALL YOUR CFO to initiate the file !! its a quick phone call and a 2 day turn around for approval.

Thanks for the info :)

Love that, "didn't receive my application" such BS, it got shuffled to the bottom of a pile somewhere and forgotten about...

No worries, just glad that the waiting is over for you! Now you can head to the range!

With new toys in hand !! tired of shooting all the old stuff :p haha

Faxed a range membership in and then they called me a day later asking me if I want an ltatt I said yeah then 2 hours later I had one in my email.

Recently ? - must be one of the lucky ones.

just got the email ! so happy I have the day off work. Time to pack up the range bag :D

All in all, from the moment I called it in to having the paperwork on my printer was under 24 hours.

Faxed my range membership and LTATT paperwork last Friday. still haven't heard anything. so I called today. Answered by Alberta and she said seeing its been 5 days I should of heard from teh BC office but I didn't. She looked and still couldn't see anything in system and my pending Transfer is sitting on the BC Chiefs desk so couldn't help me there. But she told me to email my membership to the alberta office and I should get an email for the LTATT for Monday as it was almost closing time for her. SO I'll see what happends on Monday

Nice! Hope you had a great day at the range.
The sun was shining !! Had a great time.

Keep hearing about stupidly long wait times for those who are dealing in actual paper when applying for LTATTs, either by fax or mail. I'm convinced applying over the phone is the way to go, 'cos I think you're right, they're using paper applications for target practice!
Good luck on Monday, get you have it via email within a few days!

Glad it was worth the wait, sunshine was a bonus!

what is the deal? I waited a week and decided to call in to check on things, for some reason the person who picks up is from the Alberta CFO's office. after speaking to this fine lady and providing her with my club membership letter i had mine in my email inbox practically immediately.

are the people working at the BC CFO's office so incompetent that they cant get one of their own applications through in a week but the Alberta office, after having to deal with their own applicants, can pick up the slack in BC and be done for me 10 minutes?

mind you this was near closing time around 4:30 when i conncected (i actually called much earlier but my call got dropped a few seconds someone answered. damn you rogers!)
