Current Ontario Safety Course Results Processing times?

Sounds like it's taking months then to get the paperwork mailed back now then...

I completed my non-restricted course on September 25th, so I've been waiting a month now. I was getting worried... although now I'm just sad as I doubt I'll be able to get it issued on the 28th day now.

I sent in my application and it was received on October 5th without the test results. They've cashed my check as well now, but I haven't heard anything about the test results or where to fax said results when I receive them yet.

How long do I have to get my results to them before I have to reapply and lose my money?

I did it the same way RCMP started my application on Aug 10 and then maybe couple weeks later I got letter from them saying to send in test results with a deadline of Nov 10th before they close my application so I'd say you have about 3 months from the time they start your application.

Also results are emailed now email comes from "info@fseso.org" if you don't see anything by mid Nov I'd start calling FSESO for your test to be emailed.

I think i received a letter from RCMP within 2 weeks of them receiving my application without my test results. They had received my application on August 5th and the letter stated that I had until November 10 to send in my test results so just over 3 months from date it was initially received by RCMP. The FAX number on the letter is 18004110622.

Hope this helps.

Thanks alstare2000 and kingstonsportshooter. I received a letter from the RCMP today asking for the safety course info with a due date of January 16th, which is about 3 months.

Now to wait for my test results email so I can finish the application and have my references call in... might be another month or two by the sounds of it.

Just got my test results today from courses on July 16 and 30th. That's three and a half months. My patience wore out a few weeks ago and I started calling *every day*, sometimes twice a day. I honestly don't believe they would have gotten my reports to me at all if I hadn't started calling - I wasn't even on their radar. If anyone else's are long overdue I'd suggest getting on the phone. Good luck!

I hear you. That's the reason I started this thread was because I took my test July 9th and it took 7 weeks to get to me. We were told at CFSC it was 4 weeks and even the FSESO website said 4 weeks. After 5 weeks I even emailed instructor to ask if they had heard of any delays in students getting paperwork and they said no and to call and see what was up. Took me 3 weeks in a row of calling to finally get it emailed. Obviously longer for you and more frustrating I am sure.

I just spoke to Orillia and they mentioned that test results are being mailed again instead of emailed.

The lady also said that they mailed out many results from September this past Friday, and will be mailing many more out today.

Therefore September people should get their results either late this week or early next week by the sounds of it. I Can't confirm they won't wait until Friday to mail out results again though unfortunately. This is just what I was told on the phone a few moments ago.

I can confirm that. I just received my mailed copy last Friday (I took the course on July 9th!!!) Luckily the emailed me a PDF on Sept 27th.

I followed up with FSESO this morning on the course reports from the classes I taught on September 23/24. They said those would be mailed this week.

LOL... they told me results from an August 6th class would be mailed out the week of Oct. 31. Still nothing two weeks later.

Anyone know where this asinine requirement comes from? Is it a provincial law? Is it some sort of executive authority invoked by the Ontario CFO? Where exactly should frustration with this pointless bureaucracy be directed?

I did my courses in early July and got my results back by the end of August (did my courses in the Toronto area). After reading through this thread, it definitely seems like my buddies and I may have gotten lucky that it only took ~2 months.
Like other people are saying; FSESO told us that they are no longer mailing stamped results back and are emailing them instead. When I received my results by email, I though it was spam mail. The sender is "Photocopy room" and the title of the email is "Copy of paperwork." Nothing at all indicating that it was my stamped results. I honestly would have deleted the email as spam, but fortunately my buddy opened his email and told us. So for those that haven't received their test results back, it might be worthwhile going through your inbox, deleted items, and spam folder. I made the suggestion to the FSESO that they should really change the title and sender of the email to make sure that people don't accidentally delete it. Not sure if they changed anything since then.
Also curiously enough, despite the FSESO saying otherwise, I received a paper copy of my results in the mail a couple of weeks ago.

The FSESO acts as an agent of the CFO in this process so the agency would be the Ontario Provincial Police. See https://www.ombudsman.on.ca/Make-a-Complaint/Complaint-Submission.aspx

I took my course on September 25th and haven't received my results back yet. I applied for my license a week after that, noting that my results would come later. My completed application is due by January 16th or else it is forfeited and I'll need to start over again and pay again...

I still have a little time left and am now calling or emailing every (week)day or two... but responses are rare. Due to the holidays coming up, I'm sure their offices will be closed and/or understaffed for a while soon too. I'm getting concerned that I may not receive my results back in time. Is there anything else I can do to make sure I get them back in time?

Just thought I would throw this out there.

Did my CRFSC on December 3rd (already have my NR PAL). Just received my copies of course report in the mail today. Stamped December 20th. So just over 3 weeks turn around time. Much better than the 7 weeks it took back from mid July to late August to get my Non-restricted course reports!
