Current options for 223 bolt action, youth / compact model?

Hi all - Can you please advise me about what's actually currently available new? Or widely available used, if finding one is realistic. I don't have much time to watch the EE or other used sites these days.

Looking for a lighter weight bolt action 223, youth / compact model, with detachable magazine. Prefer a traditional wood stock, but I can restock it if necessary.

Budget $800-1600 for the bare rifle. Plan to put a midrange 2-7x or 3-9x scope on it. For reference, for this rifle, I know I don't like the feel of Savage or Howa or Zastava options.

EDIT: Also needs to be a sporter weight barrel. 9-twist or faster preferred.

CZ Lux in .223 is nice lightweight and handy. (just watch what PIC rail you select). The Ruger ranch is also a good option but the LUX is nicer.
 
I have a cz 527 carbine I picked up for my wife. Very compact very nice.
I wouldn't want a scope on it. It comes up so nicely.
Another one I recently tried which my wife really wants to try is the mrx howitzer. I've personally tried it with their designated 20 round mag and found it didn't feed smoothly. I would want to try it with a 5 round at mag before I put it down as one is want for her.
 
Ruger Patrol looks pretty nice with it's non spiral fluted barrel, it's a bull barrel so maybe not the lightest option (6.5lbs)
Uses spacers for adjustable length of pull and AR mags are cheap.
Currently in stock in Canada, about a grand CDN plus tax and shipping.

^ that Ruger Patrol looks like Ranch with a different barrel
my gen 1 Ranch has been good and reliable, the stock doesn’t exude quality, but it works. MDT chassis is an option.

Do they make the Tikka compact in 223? I've seen the CTR, but I think that's a heavier barrel that wouldn't make sense for this rifle.

I guess I should add "sporter weight barrel" to the original post, sorry. Also, going to add 9-twist or faster barrel preferred.

I had thought about a CZ 600+ Trail and putting a wood stock on it. I think that's a heavier barrel too, but I've handled one and it feels very light in hand.

Does Browning make their Micros in 223? I can't seem to find any info on them now.
 
Tikka is the answer for sure. If the compact doesn’t come in 223 I would go through the trouble of ordering or acquiring a compact stock and cutting the barrel to balance it out.

If I was to start my kids out all over again this is 10000% the route I would go instead of the compact 243 I did go with.

Only thing that would make the Tikka option fully complete and perfect would be a suppressor. Muzzle blast and noise is far more detrimental to new shooters/youth than people acknowledge.
