Current Price for an AR 180B?

I have one and I don't think I would ever sell it. It's a very accurate, NR coyote rifle in my opinion. I'll admit I would prefer my AR however as long as they are Restricted it serves little practical purpose to me. I definitely like it more than my XCR-L. The hinge broke on mine many years ago after a few hundred rounds however I fixed it and have been running it hard ever since.

The asking price on these things here in Canada is hilarious...
I can't believe what some are willing to pay for what is really just a craptastic rifle.
I bought one in the US back when our dollar was almost at par...
It was $600... tax in.
Even at that price I wasn't impressed.
First time out I got 20 rounds off before the welds holding the rail the bolt carrier ran on failed. The rail came completely off rendering tge gun unshootable.
Once I got the rail fixed the gun coukd never do better than five or six inch groups at 100 yards...The trigger sucked and the butt stock was really flimsy....
Probably the most disappointing rifle I've ever owned.

If the gun grabbers would try to get the 180b banned I'd support them... If just to save people from wasting their money.

Any rifle at too good to be true prices should have raised alarm bells and meant doing due diligence and proceeding cautiously.

Recently picked up one in excellent condition in its original configuration (factory rear stock and fore grip).
I don't regret paying up (current pricing) for it.
I was looking for a decent 5.56 NR without breaking the bank and it fit the bill nicely.

It is light and simple to disassemble and its great that some of the lower parts including the magazines are the same as an AR15.
I put a Geissele G2S Trigger in it last night.

I also picked up the StormWerkz Pivot Repair Section just in case as well as the last Armalite AR-180B Field Repair Kit Wolverine Supply had in stock.

I picked one up a few months ago for 1500, unaltered with the original box/manual and some extra magazines and recoil springs. It's getting harder and harder to find examples that are in stock configuration so expect to pay around this much. While they are an interesting rifle with a unique lineage and interesting history 2000+ is too much IMO for a platform as flawed as this one.

Supporting the grabbers taking any rifle from the hands of law abiding citizens is just plain ignorant and you should rethink your stance on firearms in general. :slap::kickInTheNuts:

You've missed my point entirely... Or so it seems.

Is your point that since you don't like them you don't care if they take a non restricted firearm away from the rest of us?
Maybe you should be more clear.

Maybe you should be less obtuse...
I mean c'mon... You didn't "get" the inference I was making..?

I give up... Lol

Good Post. $2000 is in the price range of better rifles (XCR, restricted ACR, might even find a tavor at that price). I haven't handled an AR180b in many years, but I wasn't impressed back then.

I have not heard of this before, but I did help repair one that lost the long thin triangular plate that holds the scope mount.
The base was originally spot welded to the upper receiver with two tiny plug welds.
These welds were not strong enough and tore loose right away.
I repaired it but then the owner found that even with the base plate attached permanently, there was still a LOT of play between it and the scope mount.

If we could buy any type of black gun as Non-R, the AR-180B would be a $500 gun at best...

I recommend just purchasing an xcr-l. I have seen them for as low as $1500, but typical price nowadays is 2000+. A far better firearm for the amount of cash you are willing to spend.
