I have approx. 5500- 7.62 x 39 rounds..I thought that was plenty but you guys are getting me thinking that I need more..lol
Local lgs has 1200 sellier and belliot says non corrosive but not sure
295
South Edmonton Common Canadian Tire has a bunch of x39 crates on sale for $299. Not sure if that's a good deal since I don't shoot it so I don't keep track of prices for it.
I'm splitting the money. The bullets and powder I overspent on 2 1/2 years ago look like a real good deal now. Doing the same now, just not quite as much, and putting some money into the fund for the new rifle too.I have a problem that I'm sure most of us have faced. Save up for a new gun that I really really really really really really really really want, or load up on ammo because the price is only going up.![]()
That's inflated to suit Canadian tires greedy financial and liberal needs lol. Not as bad as some places I have seen, but there is definitely way cheaper still floating around.
The sad thing is - the more dealers crank up the prices - the lower demand will be for the rifles in inventory.
Price increases on old stock is not good business practice - bad optics.
I'd typically go and snag a few, but I just filled up on x54r cases last time Canada ammo had them on sale.Handful of crates of x54r left at CT on Leila in Wpg, $269 for 880.
Yes as long as it is new stock that they raise the price on, but old stock being raised may be a bit sketchy, and I don't think he begrudges their raising prices to cover new costs and make a profit, rather that it is quickly getting close to where this isn't cheap fun anymore and less people will buy the rifles/ammo if it goes that way. When it comes to being all new stock then you will be able to buy other fun and maybe more accurate ammo/guns! It will all sort itself out but sooner or later as many on CGN have said, the end of the cheap SKS and ammo supply will be gone as it has been with most cool surplus! When the cost for them to buy new stock is more than what they're selling their current stock for, they have no choice but to increase their prices or go out of business. Put yourself in their shoes. They have 40 crates to sell that cost them $200 to buy before, they sell it for $250, The new cost goes up to 250 or even more, Would you continue to sell your crates for $250 when your cost to order more is now $250 each? Go operate a business and see for yourself. I'm sure you would do well sitting on a million dollars of inventory that you're making no profit from because you're selling it for the old stock price.
