Current value-PTRS 14.5mm anti tank rifle

Looks like a SKS on steroids! How hard is it to find ammo for that Monster?

This is the rifle the SKS was based on, why do you think the SKS is so overbuilt? Over 40 Megafonzies of coolness right there.

I hope you find a good home for it, Klunk!

I sold a mint PTRS ammo pouch with the 5 clips last summer, they were the only ones i have seen.

was it you with the gun that sold last year I only wish I could have gotten a loan to get it at the time it was the only PTRS I have seen for sale

A big beautiful AT gun that can be tuned for accuracy out 1.5+ miles. These beasties beg for a custom scope mount and handloaded ammo, along with a better muzzle brake. A good price for the OP's unit would be $2500. Hope it sells before the Yellowlegs proclaim it a "prohibited-destructive" device.
:bangHead:

One could check with IRUNGUNS to see if they could get these to a US buyer without too much hassle.
Our pals to the south would love to get one of these for double the price of one up here!:)

they are destructive devices down south and I don't think they can be imported

Even if they could, it would be ruined with a nasty import marking.

I think the limiting factor of price is no ammo around and it's awfully large to be a safe queen.

Not a lot of guys spend $2k plus on somethkng they will never shoot. There are some for sure but limited market.

I'd love it but I'd want to shoot it. Lol.

cases would have to be turned as a tube then formed bullet would have to be turned as well a nice soft copper would work nicely. biggest thing is the dies are bigger then most press's can handle a rock crusher is really needed here anti tank rifles are not cheap to shoot. id be willing to go though all this a lot of people wont but they are a step over .50 bmg in import car hunting

Its mainly a paperweight. Ammo is non existent, no clubs would allow you to shoot it for fear of projectile going to next province when it goes through the birm. Unless you hunt Elephants in around Kursk area in 1943 its worth more than a life, but in 2014 Police state of Ontario it worth as much as one is willing to pay.

Typical example of the disinformation that gets put on these forums. A good berm will easily stop that slug, and if ammo is non-existent, just what was being fired in the pictures below. As far as recoil, the Lady shooting it is TINMAN's other half. She was shooting at a 12 inch steel gong at 300 yards and was accurate enough that she would have easily put a round in an exposed head at that range.

She doesn't look like the recoil disturbed her too much. Look at that grin on her face ...she batted her eyes and got to fire a second round too.

And if anyone thinks that ammo for the PTRS is non-existant, the large cartridge cases in the picture above are 25mm Hotchkiss. All these were fired on an authorized range.

I had the opportunity to look at KLUNK's PTRS at the St. Catherines Show. A very nice piece indeed.
