curtmg's 8.5" Griz thread *now featuring Vids post 12*

I fired about 15 slug and 10 buckshot 15 birdshot. I saw no muzzle flash. I had another guy at the range try it and saw a flame thrower (oh and BTW CanAm I think I just Sold a Grizz for you.My sales technique is 3" slug and 3" buckshot = automatic sale) :)

When you use it you dont see any flash at least in day light.

here some bird shot (7 1/2 - 8) 15 yard pattern I aimed slightly higher then the partridge head ;)

If that's a 15 yd. pattern you don't have to worry about a 30 yd. pattern because you won't have one.

If it's 30 yards away, I'll let it get a bit closer before I shoot it :p

My 7 yard patterns were 10 inches with both trap loads and buckshot, when the term "scattergun" was coined, this is the shottie they were referring to. The last clay I shot in my video, was about 20 yards away, I'd have some pretty good doubts about getting enough pellets on target beyond that to break a clay. Course that's as far as I can throw, so it all works out ;)

Sorry to jump into your thread curtmg, but do think it would be a good idea to
have the FRT# for these shotguns,we write them on on the reg certificate just encase we run into anyone in authority, cop, conservation officer..........?

Can we get the FRT#......I'm not a verifier.

If it is a discussion of my newest, most fun, gun, then it's not a thread hijack :)

^ as far as the forend goes it won't fit, the forend on the 8.5 Grizzly is alot shorter, all the standard 870 forends are longer than the 8.5 Grizzly, maybe with some cutting and modifying, but thats a big maybe.

Mine ... first attempt at duracoat, chose diamond plate silver ... not as nice as I thought it'd be but it's better then the stock finish ...wait WHAT finish!? lol I was sick of seeing all the scratches on it.

The EOTECH is some Chinese clone that doesn't work XD just put it on for kicks.
