Custom 308 Norma Mag

You see a couple of guys talking on the corner and you would never call them a group of guys. Likewise, that's not a group of bullet holes though, to be fair, most guys would have left the middle one uncovered and claimed it as the other of the pair. Seriously, I often fire just two shots from hunting rifles. After all, after two shots, the animal is already dead! Right? That appears to be a good shooting rifle.

The target was up when I got there, and like usual at 300m, there's only one or none holes in it. So I pasted it over and walked back to the bench. Already had fired six rounds at 100m, only ten rounds left loaded of that Accubond load. I figured I can spare two, the rest will come with me on the hunt. Have 50 rounds loaded of other loads that share a pretty similar point of impact out (180gr A-Frames, 180gr Win PP, 212gr ELDx) and a gun safe full of other rifles aren't far away if needed :d

Cannot remember the last time I took more than 2 shots at any animal in the field......just a moment, I do remember: a cow moose
back in 1964 that I put the first shot just a bit too far back, and had to shoot her a couple more times to convince her to die.
I am a very avid believer in how important the first shot is. But, we all "blow it" at some time or other. Dave.

Nice shooting, well done. The 308 NM is a favorite of mine. I haven't made other arrangements to post photos since the time of issues with photobucket so I've e-mailed you a scan of a target showing the reload results and a photo of my rifle.
