Mine's the C7/8 replica and it looks great. Can't wait to get my hands on it, unfortunately Canada Post decided that my lower might want to visit La Belle Province on it's trip from Edmonton to Toronto.

I wish! The RCMP is taking the stand that anything that accepts an AR upper is a variant of the AR-15, and therefore restricted.

The RCMP requires the receiver marked with the model designation, manufacturer, and serial number.

A newly designed, black rifle that would be classified as non-restricted is definitely something of interest for us. However, that is a process that takes years of R&D, and several million dollars. The Magpul Masada/Remington ACR is a great example of this.

Not really. It will be T-marked as well as have our manufacturer's marking on it. It's just a standard A3-style upper produced from a 7075 forging.

Just as a little aside has anyone seen any good deals on lower parts kits lately? I was going to wait until that NEA sale but that looks like that might not happen for awhile and I want to start putting this puppy together soon after I get it.
