Decided to give my AR a custom make over

Thanks guys.

I used krylon spray paint. Black base coat with flat gray over top. I bought a $7 fish net from crappy tire and cut it into peices and sprayed over the netting. Made a jig to hold the mag so I just removed the bcg and put the rifle on the mag so I could spray it from all angles. Only took 20-30 mins.

Looks good. how did you do it, just spray paint the gun?
I guess it was an easy fix to clean up the tool chatter. :adult:

I didn't give a rats ass about tooling marks. I'm not putting it in a fashion show. I wanted to give it a face lift so I did. And yes, it works just fine. One dirty hole with irons @ 50 yards.

I didn't start this thread so there could be ANOTHER NEA witch hunt, I just wanted to show off my nice paint job and hopefully inspire someone elses DIY project.

I could barley notice any "chatter" on the gun. All complaints regarding NEA can be done in their forum.....;-)

you did inspire me though, I been toying with the idea of white krylon, make a storm trooper eqse rifle maybe.

what resolution camera you using there? I have to pick one up soon, is 10-12 mega pixels around what you're using ?

were you going for look cool or to break up the outline of the rifle?

I just wanted something different. NEA's finish is sorta gray/black ish and all my magpul furniture was black. I saw some other guns done in a similar fashion and the krylon was on sale, so I gave her the old rattle can. Once it gets worn out I'll just get some different colors and have at her again.
