So I just got into AR15s used to be an M1A guy but I switched sides. I was dinkin around on brownells Ar builder program just to get an idea of parts and cost of what it was I wanted, but I realized that its American and if something costs $5 in the States its $55 here in canada. Is there any meathod to calculating what the difference is gonna be up here?
I mean the total at the bottom of the screen when I was done was about $2286.81 US. Would it be fair to put that at a value of about $3000 in Canada? just to get an idea of how much I should lay away for this project.

What I did was just go to all the sites for the stuff I was going to order off of, and add it to your shopping cart, then calculate tax and shipping for all the different packages.

Yeah, and you can get some stuff from them, but obviously the receivers, barrel, bolt/BCG, stock, etc, you wouldn't be able to unless you do the paperwork for the export permits. I think I used about 3-4 vendors and a couple of people on the EE to get mine assembled.

And if you want to borrow a stock wrench or receiver vice blocks from me, you're more than welcome to.

You can always buy a Norc AR. There won't be any US equivalent dollar exchange, but if they could own one they would sell for $399 US side compared to $699 here as per usual.
Once I figure out what accessories to install and mods to make, I figure it to be a Magpul slut for less than $900 and shoot as good as any $3000 build under 100 meters.
