Hey guys and gals, I am looking to purchase a custom built precision rifle for PRS style matches. At the moment, I am reviewing Insite Arms, Cadex Defence and Alberta Tactical Rifles and would like to know your opinions, experiences and/or recommendations. I am asking that the comments remain respectful as I don't wish this to become a post about rants and such, it is ok to voice your discontent and remain objective and respectful, so please do.

I am looking for best build, best service, most knowledgeable and most reliable.

As of 10:30 AM ET (Sept 19th 2016), I've spoken with Harley of Insite Arms who's been absolutely amazing and knowledgeable about the 1000 questions I had. I've also spoken to Cadex who've also been great. Reached out twice to Alberta Tactical Rifles but have yet to receive a return call...

Insite Arms and Cadex are also Canadian based firearm builders which is something I appreciate greatly and wish to support (yes I know, they buy some parts from US manufacturers but they still put the firearms together with amazing results).

In order to prevent this post to deviate into a million side discussions, know that I am not interested in suggestions on how to build it myself, I am set on buying a custom made rifle from a reputable business, I am going for 260 REM as I already have the reloading components and tools for it and love the 260 REM, I am not interested in other calibers for the moment and as I've been told by Pro Shooters I've had the opportunity to meet "pick a 6.5 you're comfortable with and run with it, in the end, it's all about the shooter behind the rifle" and finally, I am not interested in buying a used one.

Good start so far. I would add PGW to your list of Canadian rifle builders and call them as well. They will do Coyotes in .260 and more.

Out of the ones mentioned I would go with insite arms, they are great guys to deal with and build a fantastic rifle. Their service is top notch and they shoot prs them selfs which is always a plus.

ATRS just completed a precision AR build for me that was first-class from start to finish. Rick was very responsive by email to a myriad of questions I had.

Casey at Tactical Ordnance is also an option, though he is booked solid these days. I have I've if his R700 builds and it's amazing. Ditto for the Chou brothers.

" Reached out twice to Alberta Tactical Rifles but have yet to receive a return call.."

This concerns me greatly. Did you email or phone? IF you got our answering machine did you leave us a message?
We are VERY prompt at returning inquiries.

Why not use the AI? There are lots of guys in the states who run them. Throw on a 6.5MM barrel and you are good to go.

Team AI normally places quite well in the standings.

I emailed Wolverine and was told that they are unable to import an AI barrel in 260 REM for the moment and are not able to give me a time estimate of when one will be available. There are issues with AI 260 REM barrel availability.

Called once, left a message and emailed next since I did not get a call back. My area code is 819 is you check you missed calls and my email starts with "joe.m" but the email was sent on this Saturday. Call was last week.

Having shot a match with the insite guys, I'd have to say them. They actually shoot the matches they are building guns for. Understand the needs and wants of a rifle. I'll be getting one from them in the future.

It is true that Wolverine has a tough time getting barrels but Insite Arms brings up barrels all the time.

I myself am in the process currently with Insite.

Checked the answering machine call display and come up dry. Weird, I don't know what to say other than thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will look into this further as I don't want to miss calls.
The Saturday email I see but we are not open on weekends, but I do see a reply already this morning which I don't think is bad given we only opened an hour ago.

It's all good now, discussions are ongoing.

They also supported the first Canadian PRS match big time by being there to support it, by shooting it, and by donating amazing prizes.

EM Precision has re-barrelled an AIAX 338 with a Benchmark 308. Pretty sure they could do a 260 just as easily.
