This week I picked up my new baby, 8 weeks in the making. My custom milled Gen 4 Glock 19. This was a project dedicated to my fiance and my engagement this year. My favourite pistol to commemorate this date.

Along with Jay and Co. at Black Box Customs, we imagined this slide from the ground up. Each cut meticulously planned. Each recess intricately built into the geometry of this design. And each detail, hours worth of planning, programming, discussing, and going back to the drawing board.

At one point, I didn't think this would get done. But with the talent and passion that drives Black Box Customs, we were able to build this - my dream gun. A gun that I will keep forever.

Although Jay and his team had put dozens upon dozens of hours with me putting this final masterpiece together - he only charged the commercial replication price for this design. A cool $1600. When the closest thing in Canada cost upwards of $3500, and considering the hours put into this project could have well been over $15,000's worth - it was a great deal. It goes to speak loudly for the reputation and values of this team at Black Box Customs.

Who are these guys?

Just your typical, gunnutz, with the talent and passion to take what you dream up, and make it a reality for you - right in front of your eyes. This is a team, that I can speak from, first hand - who are dedicated to quality and the customer experience.

If you want something done fast - don't go to them.

If you want something done cheap - don't go to them.

If you want something that no one else can do, something from the wildest corner of your imagination brought to life, then give these guys a call. Its going to cost money and time, but at the end of the day the final product is NEVER anything less than a work of art, unique, special and exclusive to the finest details.

To Jay and the guys at BBC - THANK YOU.

And without further ado...

is it only the milled slide , magwell ,cerakote and stippling job ?

what kind of trigger-internals sits in this ''custom''' pistol?

is the barrel the oem one ?

Jay,
This is the cleverest way to tell your fiance you need a new gun I've ever seen! Dedicating a custom gun to your future wife with your wedding date on it. Absolutely brilliant!!

So....how many kids you planning on having? Your 19 could get lonely!

Great Job with the design! looks very well planned out. congrats on getting engaged, will be nice to commemorate your wedding with another custom pistol :)

Thanks guys!

The bigger brother is in the works right now - G17 Gen 4 with or without RMR... Still deciding.

Surprisingly, the soon to be wife was quite touched as well! Great way to have gotten her on side!

Dang that's actually a pretty good deal given the price of glocks these days.

I think you missed the part where the OP supplied the G19.
...or maybe I'm missing the part where the OP calculated the price of the Glock into the overall cost of the build?

LMAO. You're right.

I read "$1600 all in" and then foolishly thought that meant "all" in lol.

8weeks is actually not that long
You will know what real waiting is when you get into a custom racegun or custom precision long range rifle :p

love it btw
so is it 1600$ of gunsmithing or 1600$ including the OEM G19?
(if the former then you got both ###y, price and speed IMO)

The Glock 19 was my own - the custom gunsmithing was $1600 worth. Still a ###y deal in my opinion since each cut was programmed to my preference and they were not generic pre-determined commercial designs.

I'm an impatient guy by nature and when I heard 4-6 weeks at first, I was heart broken ... Now that I have this beauty in front of me though, the 8 weeks was well worth the wait! :D

Looks great, but that price is hard to swallow. It's very similar to a Salient Arms slide.
